Guernsey   2012

Eastview nestles on a refilled quarry on the east coast of Guernsey. The aspect of the site faces the neighbouring islands of Herm and Sark. The existing 70’s style bugalow was remodelled into modern family home. The two main zones of the house were living and sleeping. The living area took full advantage of the views over the islands and created a light, contemporary and functional space. The bedroom wing is sheltered behind the living space but also provides direct access to a proposed swimming pool. The hi-tech glazing in the living space provides high levels of insulation to control the ambient temperature inside the building.
