Jamie Falla established his award winning design practice with a simple and universal vision to make positive contributions to the quality of our built environment and to create places that enrich people’s lives.
Built on the shared ethos of its employees and founder Jamie Falla, that design innovation and quality are the foundation of our work, our service is delivered by a small team of dedicated and skilled individuals, passionate about creating beautiful and functional buildings.
Our diverse portfolio includes unique individual houses, large scale commercial office and residential developments, retail and sports facilities and master planning schemes. Whatever the project, we are committed to the pursuit of architectural excellence through innovative design, materials and building methods.
The practiceʼs core values have evolved around sustainability, and we work collaboratively with planners, skilled builders and craftspeople, material manufacturers and professionals that specialise in lighting, interior design and technology systems to create homes and workspaces that support how we live today.
We strive to identify and respect the unique qualities of each site, maximise its potential and respond to the aspirations and needs of our clients.
We hope our designs speak for themselves.
Jamie having trained at Kingston University and the Architectural Association London, he subsequently worked at Paxton Locher Architects on high profile residential and Lottery funded theatre and educational buildings for clients such as the Jerwood Foundation, before establishing his own practice, Mooarc, in 1996.
The opportunity to return to Guernsey and establish his practice on the island came in 2002 with the winning design for the 'Grandstand for Guernsey' competition. As director Jamie also led the practice to win The 2004 Natwest Best Small Business Award and an RIBA Award for his own house La Concha.
